Typically IIC do not provide the follow up activity of remedial work and cleaning and disinfection however IIC are available to define a clear scope of service required and audit potential suppliers on behalf of their clients.

This means that the work agreed is verified as being necessary and that the most competitive solution is obtained by the client with no reduction in performance.

The need for a Legionella risk assessment is a requirement of legislative control of the Legionella problem, the Legionella risk assessment performed by IIC ensures compliance and provides peace of mind.

Do IIC provide Legionella testing?

An important confirmatory parameter for any legionella control programme is the monitoring of legionella bacteria. IIC has arrangements with audited independent laboratories for the testing of legionella.

Legionella testing is a specialised subject and the laboratories used must comply to National and International standards and it is also recommended that these laboratories partake in an interlaboratory External Quality Assessment scheme to ensure that recoveries of legionella bacteria and result consistency are to the required standard.
